Day 5 of the 12 Days of WANDA! Part 5/12

On the 5th day of Christmas WANDA gave to me... resource tracking for inventory control!

Hi Everyone! We're back on track with day 5 of the 12 days of WANDA! Today, we're going to go over the 'Resources Used' reports, show you how to access it, and what you can do with the information. First, as displayed in the image below, make sure you're in the 'restroom application', then click on the 'Report's option to access the 'Resources Used' section. Once you reach the page, you can select a 'Start Date', an 'End Date', and which 'Resources' you want to look at. As you can see, 'Employees' and 'Units' are optional, in case you want to track if one employee is using more resources than another, or if certain washrooms are using up more resources than the others.

Once you hit 'Submit' the following report will be generated. As you can see, the report displays the number of each resource that is used for that day.

Since having the resources displayed for each day can be cumbersome to go through, we've included additional summaries for easier viewing as well. As you scroll down the page, the reports will also be organized into 'Monthly Totals', 'Yearly Totals', 'Area Totals', and 'Resource Totals'.

The great thing about having this information is the insight it provides over time. If you can see that September is your busier month compared to August this year, you can stock up at the end of August next year in order to be ready for September.

With these reports, you may also discover that you've been using so little of a certain resource that you now have excess inventory. For example, you noticed that 'Litres of hand soap' was barely changing over an entire month, and looking into it you realize it's because the dispensers are foam dispensers, which means the soap lasts a very long time.  As a result, your 10 jugs of soap have just been sitting on the shelves for months, so in the future, you can order less soap to save costs.

We hope you liked this information! Let us know what you think or if you have any questions by emailing me at carolyn@visionstate.com.
